He was brought up in Florida.

During his high school years, Langston received wide recognition for his immense athletic skills. He also won high school wrestling state championship and received the “Ironman of the Year” by Hillsborough County.

While in college, he played for the Iowa Hawkeyes as a defensive lineman. However, after he completed his studies, he went into powerlifting and made his debut at the USA Powerlifting meet on July 11 at the Nova Southeastern University during the “2010 United States Open Championships”.

Some of his personal weight lifting records include a 322.5 kg squat, 240 kg bench press, 362.5 kg deadlift that amounts to powerlifting total of 925 kg or 2,039 lbs.

He made his first appearance for the FCW on December 17, 2009.

Langston once publicly stated that he had a crush on professional wrestler Becky Lynch‘s mother.

He has appeared in various shows such as Total Divas, Swerved, and Ride Along.

Langston along with professional wrestler Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed run “The New Day” podcast.
