    Personal Trainer

Shawn Rhoden selected the workout routine depending on what phase he was in of his preparation for bodybuilding events. When he was in the early stages of his preparation, he liked to go for lower rep ranges for workout sessions that involved heavy lifting. While when he was in the advanced stages, he liked to increase the rep ranges and focused on lifting light weights.

Rhoden also tailored his diet as per his requirement. However, he didn’t deviate much from his pre-contest diet plan. His pre-contest diet included 4 to 5 meals per day. For the meals, he focussed on eating carrots, potatoes, rice, carbohydrate-rich veggies, lean ground beef, chicken, and steak.

His daily dietary intake also included post-workout protein shakes. He usually wrapped up his days with a blend of peanut butter, cinnamon, oatmeal, and protein powder. During the bulking-up stage, he increased his frequency of meals and started eating more per meal. During this stage, Shawn usually started his day with a big breakfast that included 15 egg whites, 3 whole eggs, and 1 and a half cups of oatmeal.
